Very large park, great for walking, running and cycling. Lovely green space and a large kids playground. A miniature railway open for rides on some weekends. Also has tennis courts and football pitches to book. Free parking all the way around. Parkrun every Saturday morning and popular Junior Parkrun every Sunday. morning

Popular Park near the Seven Dials area. Lovely in Spring and Autumn especially. Lots of different areas to explore with wooded shady areas and squirrels to feed. A big kids playground and a great cafe. Free parking on Sundays.

The lagoon itself has watersports activities available to book. There is also a skate park, a children's paddling pool and children's playground. The cafe is owned by local legend Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim), he even paid for the giant pirate ship in the playground. There are also trampolines, bouncy castles and crazy golf that can be paid for nearby.

Great days out - surrounding area
A great day out for families. This has been a favourite with my kids for several years. The zoo is very popular and the rides and play areas are perfect for kids from very young to around 12 years old.

I have spent so many long days here with my kids, I feel I should own part of it by now! A small selection of farm animals to see, tractor rides, outdoor play area including jumping pillows, trampolines, large sandpit and ride on bikes and trikes. Also an indoor play area for if the weather turns (although that is probably not open at the moment). Situated in the lovely village of Hurstpier Point about 15 minutes away, off the A23.

Also an indoor play area for if the weather turns (although that is probably not open at the moment). Situated in the lovely village of Hurstpier Point about 15 minutes away, off the A23.
A short drive to the east of Brighton, Rottingdean is a pretty village with a small high street. The beach and undercliff path is a nice alternative to the busier Brighton beach. It is also good for rock pooling, especially at low tide.

An interesting building which is usually open for tours (not sure in the current situation - may be worth checking their website). The kids can dress up in the lifesaving gear and have a look at the lifeboat up close.

A stunning building even if just admiring it from the outside. We spent years living here before we actually went in for a tour but it is well worth it. There is a nice grassy park area to sit with a picnic outside if the weather is nice and the museum is also nearby.

The i360 gives great views of the area and far out to sea. The whole area around the i360 is really well done with some lovely shops and cafes so even if you don’t fancy a ‘flight’ it is a lovely area to wonder around (and there’s a great gift shop too!)
