Truro has a small, cobbled city centre with independent shops, cafes, restaurants and a few quiet bars. There is a cathedral in the centre which you can visit and walks along the tidal river towards Malpas.

St Agnes
A lovely village on the coast about a 15 minute drive from Truro. Worth a wander.
On the south coast. You can get the train from Truro to Falmouth where you will find some lovely beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops. There is a maritime museum which is a good visit for the kids. Falmouth is a university town so there is a bit more going on at night. Often live music can be found and bars that are open later than in Truro.
