There are 3 walks within Ingleborough National Nature reserve.
One of the entrances to the reserve is close to us at Ribblehead Quarry.

The Ribblehead Viaduct is 1/2 mile from us.
There are several lovely walks around the viaduct and if you are lucky you might see a steam engine cross the viaduct( selected dates throughout the year).

Ingleborough is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
At 2372ft high you need a certain level of fitness to climb Ingleborough.
Always plan your walk checking the weather forecast before setting off and taking the appropriate clothing and kit with you.

The nature trail starts in village of Clapham. The walk follows the edge of a lake. At the top of the trail you can visit Ingleborough Caves (admission fee applies).
In Spring time there is a beautiful display of rhododendrons and bluebells in the woods.

Malham Cove is about a 40 minute drive from us.
There is a stunning 7 1/2 mile circular walk from Malham village that takes in Janet's Foss, Gordale Scar and the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove.
Please be aware there are some steep climbs and uneven terrain.
Malham is a very popular area of the Yorkshire Dales and is often very busy at weekends and holiday times.

Aysgarth Falls are about a 50 minute drive from us.
There is a beautiful woodland walk from the National Park Centre that takes you down to the falls with viewpoints along the way. Another route from the opposite end of the carpark takes you to the upper falls.

Ribblehead Station on the beautiful Settle- Carlisle line is a short walk from us.
There are regular links to Leeds, Settle and Carlisle or you could explore walks from many other stations along the line.
The station has is a small museum with lots of information about the construction of the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct which you can see from the station.
There is also a cafe serving customers from April to October.
Ribblehead Station is also a great spot to view steam train tours passing up the Settle- Carlisle line. Please be aware that steam tours do not run daily and do not stop at Ribblehead. We can provide information about steam trains due to pass through the area, please ask when you arrive.
