Warrimoo is aboriginal for Eagle's Nest and also known as ‘Blinky Bill Territory’ - the Australian author Dorothy Wall lived in Florabella Street. Warrimoo itself has a General Store, Post Office, Pizza Place, Bottle Shop and Antique Store and is only an hour from Sydney, and has larger villages 10 minutes either side (Blaxland, Glenbrook & Springwood) with a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and locally owned shops of all varieties. There are bushwalks, Children's Parks and tennis courts within walking distance.
