You may swim there privately, it has shallow sandy coast, but on the opposite side of "mazā daugava" is wide recreation park "Lucavsalas pludmale" with guided swimming beach and a lot of children attractions and some eating places and the ice cream.

If you are a lover of more specific ingredients, you will probably find it in the bar and restaurant store "Gemoss", just a 10-minute further walk away.
