Friendly staff. A community type cafe. Great place for breakfast, lunch or a cuppa and a slice of cake in the afternoon.
I like the filled Derbyshire oatcakes at lunchtime; very well presented and tasty. I highly recommend the all day cooked breakfasts on Sundays.
May 2023 presently closed on Tuesdays.

Previous holidaymakers have reported generous portions. Prior to covid restrictions cafe area for sititng in. I think at present it is all takeaways.

Lots of tourist information here. Museum with exhibitions regularly changing. Also has a cafe area that serves homemade soups, light lunches and cakes. Check opening times as recently it has been closed on Wednesdays. The monthly guided walks are £4 per person and are well worth doing.
