There are so many apple orchards to choose from all around Gilmer, Pickens, and Fannin County. Here are a few of our favorites!
This is our favorite stop for all things apples. Great apple picking during the season and so much to shop for in the market. Also, across the street is Reece Cider Company, where they have craft beer, wine, and cider. They also have non-alcoholic lemonade and apple cider slushies!

Many apples to choose from. This Orchard was one of the first we ever visited and go back every year! They have a hay ride that takes you back into the orchard so you get to every type of apple you could want!

This place is so close to the Coosawattee River Resort! Great place to get your apple needs close by! During certain seasons there will also be not only apples but other produce as well.
1.8 miles from Lazy Deer Lodge, only 10 minutes.

City/town information
Downtown Ellijay! Such a cute little town. As you go around the round about in the middle of the town there are many shops and restaurants that are a must for when visiting. Ellijay is also home to the Apple Festival hosted October 13-October 16th. Definitely a must see stop when you come to visit around that time. All things apples!

Downtown Ellijay! Such a cute little town. As you go around the round about in the middle of the town there are many shops and restaurants that are a must for when visiting. Ellijay is also home to the Apple Festival hosted October 13-October 16th. Definitely a must see stop when you come to visit around that time. All things apples!
Blue Ridge is full of so many local boutiques and shops. One of our favorites is Three Sisters Fudge (we go in every time we are up to get our favorite fudge - Butterfinger!)
Blue Ridge is also home to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway - a four hour, 26 mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through North Georgia. You get dropped off into McCaysville/Copperhill and have two hours to enjoy the restaurants and shops on the border of Georgia/Tennessee.
