Conic Hill has fabulous views over Loch Lomond and, even though the track is a bit steep in places, it's an easier walk than Ben Lomond. Depart from Balmaha on the east side of the Loch.

Wonderful coffee, food, cocktails and atmosphere. Open all day and evenings. Wonderful for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a glass of wine and bowl of olives. One of Helensburgh's top places to go.

Glasgow is only about 30 minutes away by train and so worth visiting. The city centre has wonderful Victorian architecture, great shops and masses of wonderful cafes and restaurants.
The West End has Glasgow University and a life all of its own. Byres Road is the hub, with wonderful individual shops and cafes. Also worth seeing are the Botanic Gardens at the top of Byres Road with the stunning Kibble Palace glasshouse.
