An awesome, white sand beach on St. John's southern shore, one of our favorites. In addition to the sandy beach there is also good snorkeling around the bay and turtles are often seen here. There are a bathroom, garbage bins, tables and trees big enough to pitch hammocks on at this beach. It also connects to the Ram Head hiking trail and Drunk Bay. Saltpond is part of the Virgin Islands National Park.

This white sand beach is part of the Virgin Islands National Park, as is it's sister bay Great Lameshur which is a cobblestone beach. Both require a 4x4 to access and so are often less crowded than other VINP beaches. At Little Lameshur there are grills and picnic tables for bbq, snorkeling off the eastern side of the bay and it links to 2 hiking trails: the Lameshur Bay Trail and the Bordeaux Mountain Trail.
