Local bakery warehouse from the team behind Gjelina & GTA. Carved out of an industrial building on unlikely Sunset Avenue, just a block from bustling Rose Avenue, Gjusta serves similar fare to GTA (Gjelina Take Away) but with much more of everything.

WELCOME TO SUPERBA FOOD + BREAD We are people who insist on living well. We are a community born of the belief that the good things in life ought to be shared and that great food should be accessible to all who seek it. Equal parts bakery, cafe and urban park, we’re proud of our space, our food and our people and we’re committed to sharing these lovely things with our community. We are going to try new things and break some rules. But whether we’re reinventing the wheel or making toast you’d be silly not to try, we’re doing our darnedest to create an environment where trying new things is not only possible, but exciting, comfortable, superba.

A skinny storefront refashioned into a Matsuhisa-derived sushi bar/Pacific Rim dinner house. Drop in for a big bowl of Cal-Asian style “bouillabaisse,” or linger through a multicourse meal of small plates (including standbys like miso-marinated cod or eggplant). But sushi, here, is the real stunner — which, given the prices, it should be. Don’t miss the lobster roll.

Drinks & Nightlife

Established in 1915 by Italian immigrant, Cesar Menotti, Townhouse is the oldest bar in Venice and one of the oldest bars in the Los Angeles area. Townhouse's live entertainment basement, The Del Monte, was a true speakeasy during Prohibition and a night-life nucleus, serving many nefarious and infamous characters of the day, masked cleverly by Menotti's grocery store above. Today both floors serve hand-crafted cocktails from the golden age of drinking with classic bartending techniques and know-how and offer a fine library of world-class spirits, beer, and wine. The Del Monte features the crème de la crème of live entertainment including live music, djs, comedy and burlesque, five to seven nights per week.
