Very generous plates of Mexican food. I like their posole and chile rellenos, also, best margarita in town (lilikoi, prickly pear & other options). They make them just the way I do: strong, sour, with a li hing mui rim! and the price cannot be beat

Great nighttime viewing of the lava lake in Halemaumau crater

Great nighttime viewing of the lava lake in Halemaumau crater

The best Oceanarium on this side of the island, take a picnic, find some shade, spend a few hours, respect the lifeguard signs, but if it's calm you can discover hidden gems. Honu (sea turtles) swim here

No bathrooms or showers like the beach parks all over the state, but you will love the underwater views. It's like swimming in an aquarium, huge tropical fish.
