World-class, authentic French bakery. Their opening hours are unfortunately very brief (8:00AM to 1:00PM most days, closed Mondays and Tuesdays) and everything is baked fresh daily, so make sure you get there early to get a good selection of stuffed croissants.

Excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Dinner is a bit more of the "fine dining" variety, hence a bit more expensive than breakfasts and lunches, but the food is worth it. The location also boasts an excellent view of the Esplanade Riel Bridge and the Canadian Museum For Human Right.

If you are looking for a great restaurant of the "greasy spoon" variety, look no further. Their coffee is terrible but it adds to the charm. The food never disappoints. All-day breakfasts.

This is a great place. If the lineup at Clementine is too long, just walk over to this place instead. It is a close contender with Clementine for it's quality brunches and lunches. They also smoke their own meat, which is absolutely delicious.

Local pizza restaurant chain. Usually a go-to for ordering pizza. They just renovated this location and it's quite nice, and well-located. The pizza is tasty, and affordable. Phone 204-222-2222 to have pizza delivered.

This place is a local institution. It's been there for more than 40 years, and hasn't changed one bit during this time. The menu is still the same as when I first started going here 15 years ago. They make some of the best rotis in town, and make sure you get an order of doubles too - so good! They also have an outdoor patio that is open during summer months, and hosts live music on weekends I believe.

This drive-in restaurant is another local institution, that has been there since the 1950s. If you're looking for a great burger and fries, old-school style, this is your place. I highly recommend the chili-burger in a bowl. The milkshakes are also excellent. The service is notoriously (and hilariously) bad however. Kind of reminds me of the "Soup Nazi" from that old Seinfeld episode. I suppose it adds to the character of the place.

One of the best Indian food restaurants in town. They have an excellent lunch and dinner buffet. All you can eat for somewhere around $20. There is so much selection to choose from, and everything is delicious!

It is quite a beautifully developed space, with shops, restaurants, historical guided tours, guided boat rides in the summer, and boasts the longest skating rink in the world in the winter. Skate and canoe rentals are available.
