Like the name implies, the Cranberry Road Winery actually makes their own wine using locally grown cranberries from Grayland. Newly designed menu with everything from steak to wood-fired pizzas. This a popular restaurant with both locals and tourists alike. $$ - $$$

Local favorite! Multiple good beers brewed on site combined with wood fired pizza - hard to go wrong! Also an excellent place to watch a game as there are numerous big screen TV's. Indoor seating fills up quickly on most nights (there is also outdoor seating on warm nights)

Little Richards is a fixture in the Westport community. Very distinct donuts made the old fashioned way - difficult to describe unless you try them! Even though their donuts are amazing, their hours are notoriously hard to figure out and they close as soon as they sell out! During summer they are open weekends and sometimes on Thursday and Fridays. Don't go unless you call first to see if they are open and have a selection - (360) 268-9733

Even though their donuts are amazing, their hours are notoriously hard to figure out and they close as soon as they sell out! Westport Winery Garden Resort
1 S Arbor RdThe Westport Winery is located on an extensive property with art, gardens, and vineyards. You can spend a lot of time simply walking around - quite beautiful. There is also wine-tasting, a restaurant, and a bakery. I have not personally visited yet, but most reviews are very good. It is on my "to do" list.
Arts & Culture
Interesting museum highlighting the contributions of local fisherman and cranberry farmers. There is also information about shipwrecks and local sealife as well. There are a few intact whale skeletons on the outside of the museum. A highlight is the magnificent Destruction Island [Lighthouse| Lens, housed on the museum grounds, built in France in 1888 by Henry Le Paute from the design by Augustin-Jean Fresnel. The lens was installed in the Westport lighthouse in 1891 and operated until 1995 when it was removed by the Coast Guard and went on display at its present location. The room that houses the lighthouse is brilliantly lit - my kids loved it!

There are a few intact whale skeletons on the outside of the museum. Parks & Nature
The Westport Light Trail is always one of my favorite places to go. It is a two mile round trip on a concrete board walk through beach grass, dunes, and coastal pine right along the beach. The trail ends at Westhaven State Beach. You can access the trail from Ocean Ave. If you don't have a Discover Pass, make sure you DON'T park in the state parking lot (there is ample parking across from the Westport By the Sea condos on the road). This is also a great bike path for kids - good luck keeping up with them:)

There are limitless places to visit the beach in Grayland and Westport, but this one has the best waves and a very fun assortment of driftwood that people have made into forts and wind shelters. Good bathrooms and outside showers make this a great place to spend a day at the beach. ***This is a state park which requires a Discovery Pass or you can park outside the park and walk in***
Shopping
The Pomegranate is located in a turn of the century school house with the original floors. Eclectic and beautifully decorated with modern and vintage clothing, house decor, and gifts. My wife and her friends visit almost every time they visit the cabin! An added bonus is that is directly across the street from the cabin:)

This little shop is a great place to pick up milk, soda, beer, as well as a forgotten toothbrush or anything else you might need. Soft serve ice cream and Haagen Daz in the freezer are also available. Finally, there is a fairly large selection of DVD's (although probably not a lot of brand new titles:)

Fishing - Westport if famous for some of the best charter fishing on the west coast and people fly in from all over the country to be a part of the action. Halibut, Salmon, and bottom fishing for Ling Cod is excellent here. There are numerous charter operations right in the main Westport Marina.
