A traditional village with stone build houses. You can visit for the beaches and certainly at night for the bars and restaurants.
Good restaurants and few shops for souvenirs.
I would recommend to visit the bar Koutsomilos for a drink especially around 1900-2100 (Good View, Ambient Cultural music).

In the morning try the BOUGATSA with sweet cream or feta cheese.
A restaurant that started in Nea Fokea around 2010 and after a great success a second restaurant opened in Thessaloniki. Creative Greek food very reasonably priced for gourmet food.
Just next to the restaurant, same owner prepares Λουκουμαδες/Loukoumades with honey and cinnamon or chocolate sauce...you can ask them to bring them in the restaurant or get a package to take home.

In Greek its called KAFENIO. It is open all year around and most locals hung out in this place.
A traditional coffee shop in the shade of two large pine trees. You would think that it is just a coffee shop (you can have an original Greek Coffee here) but in fact it is also a bar and a tavern. You can have a beer, a refreshment, ouzo or tsipouro with meze (they prepare 2-5 home made dishes daily) around 1200 which you can order as 1 portion, 1/2 portion or 1/4 portion....1/4 is a meze/tapas to accompany the ouzo. They have grilled items BBQ ... excellent and tasty pork souvlaki, pantseta, soutzoukaki, kebab for lunch or dinner.....order 1 souvlaki, 1 soutzoukaki and pay by the peace..!!

Private General Hospital in Thessaloniki. Its about 60 klm from Nea Fokea. They have a proper 24X7 Emergency Room. If my family has an emergency issue that is where I would go.
