Slovakia has the highest amount of castles per capita in the world, devin castle is situated right at the confluence of the river Morava and the Danube. Also the town devin is popular for its black currant wine, a must have while in Slovakia together with “borovicka” and “tatra tea”

If you’re a ww2 aficionado then you’ll love to check this place out. This is one of several bunkers built along side the Slovak border intended to defend the country from nazi Germany, the funny aspect is that they never saw action as Czechoslovakia became a nazi Germany protectorate.
