My favourite restaurants, bars, working places, views, hidden gems
I spend a lot of time in cafes or in nature, as they are my office and source of inspiration for my work, for this reason it is important for me to have a place where I feel welcomed, like home. For indoor places I like cool indie/hipster/rock music not too loud, nice people, good food and coffee. So my list represents my favs in Brasov.
Tipografia has it all, great atmosphere, a lot of cool events (one of the few places offering quality cultural events), facilities for working (wi-fi and printers for free), great snacks and drinks, nice people, reasonable prices.

This is a classical bistro perfect for chilling out, eating or listening to classical music. They organize piano concerts (but not only) and host art exhibitions. The food is great - fusion French, Italian, Romanian I would say. A bit more expensive but worth paying it. Great people, cozy place.

One of the only two places in Brasov where you find real, delicious ice-cream. I am very picky usually. This one is good. A huge queue usually forms in the summer.

Wanna try Romanian food? This is the place to go. No other. Maybe just their sister restaurant from Piata Sfatului - La ceaun as well.
The difference between this restaurant and other traditional restaurants is the design (very cool, showing the best of our traditions) and the food (the best traditional food adapted for a healthier, trendy lifestyle)

This is my beautiful secret garden (and the place where I spent my kindergarden years). I bet most residents don't know it. Beautiful garden with a view on the old city, away from the crowd. In the summertime is heaven.

My recommendation is not for the restaurant but for the old Romanian district called Schei that starts when you go through the Schei gate (Poarta Schei). If you have time, spend a few hours strolling along the pretty narrow streets of Schei that get lost on the hills surrounding the valley.

A typical Romanian fresh fruits and vegetables open air / covered all day market. Here you may get directly from producers fresh food (veggies and fruits, but also meat, traditional cheese, raw milk, bread and many other products). Very fair prices, best quality.
