Asheville has recently been dubbed "foodtopia" and has a ton of delicious options. Most menus feature creative farm-to-table cuisine and there are many styles to choose from: tapas, dim sum, sushi, tacos/tacos/tacos, ramen, Appalachian, Indian, Middle Eastern, and so much more. Desserts for days. 'Nough said. Try the hot sipping chocolates (my favorite is maple and smoked sea salt...extra salt!). They also have a case full of cakes, pies, tiramisu, creme brulee, ice cream, truffles, and so much more. There is sometimes a line out the door but don't let it deter you...it moves quickly and it's worth the wait!

Delicious dim sum downtown. I highly recommend allowing the server to guide your ordering and definitely do not miss the green beans and soup dumplings. Seriously. Don't miss them!

One of the best spots downtown for craft cocktails. They source herbs from the herb shop next door (Herbiary) and have a creative menu if you're hungry too. Try the bone marrow tater tots!

This creative southern fare restaurant is high on lots of lists. They have a S Avl location too if you can't get in downtown (there's usually a looooong wait). Try the sweet potato pancake!

This underground tapas restaurant is a long-standing local's favorite that doesn't need the hype surrounding some of the newer restaurants in town (Curate, ahem, ahem). This is a great option if some of the more social media savvy spots are full. My favorite dish is the gnocchi!
