Another great reservoir if you are into having a day of boating on a fairly large body of water. This reservoir has some pretty nice beaches as well.

Downtown Bennington, all major shopping is located here. Some great restaurants and local bars. Located just down the bottom of the mountain. Historic Bennington is a beautiful sight to see especially in the fall

The Long Trail is Vermont’s oldest long distance trail managed by the Green Mountain club and the beginning and end of the trail are just a few miles down the road from the house. The total trail is 273 mi long and reaches the Canadian border, but the first leg is a beautiful one if you are looking for a nice mountain hike.
