A wonderful place for a family trip - park the car and walk up the paved trail into the woods and on to the Stinchcombe golf course (public right of way), high up on the Cotswold scarp. Spectacular views of the River Severn, Forest of Dean and the Cotswolds. Back down the hill and straight into the the fantastic tearooms, garden centre and ice-cream kiosk. There is also a really good delicatessen selling local wines from the Cotswolds.

Berkeley Castle - one of the last castles remaining in private family hands. Much used as a film set - you might recognize it from Poldark and Johnny English. Netflix have also filmed here recently.
