181 N Beach RdA little free museum that will take a half hour but rewards with a feel of the island of old. If you look hard you might find the Osprey Nest brick. Also note that the Jackson cabin exhibit was from the plot of land where the Osprey Nest and Eagle Roost reside.
Great stop as you cruise the island. Take a look at the old store and walk out to the end of the dock for some killer pictures.

A day trip to Friday Harbor is fun. You don't need a ferry reservation, the car cost is minimal and walk-on is free. A beautiful marina with shops and restaurants with decks. If you have a car check out Roche harbor, the outdoor art museum, Lime Kiln park and American/British camps.
