Some of the best oysters and seafood in the country - this is a very well known destination for an authentic taste of the sea. Check out ‘The Shed’ or ‘The Coast Inn’. Make sure you check the tides though as at high tide you can’t cross on or off the island

the Green Man close by is a country pub with a very nice menu and serves a selection of real ales. It is reasonably priced and even better value if you have a Tastecard (50% off food Sunday to Thursday).
5 minute drive away is the Braxted Bakery which serves a selection of home made cakes, sandwiches, breakfast and light lunches. Opens every day at 09.30 until 16.00
Mama dells cafe at 67a Newland Street in Witham is nice for breakfast (opens at 8am Monday to Saturday or 9am on Sunday)
Olios Italian restaurant in Wickham Bishops is 5 minutes away in the next village. Serves authentic Italian food in a nice atmosphere.
Astaire Turkish restaurant is our personal favourite (101 Newland Street in Witham). Opens for lunch at midday every day.

This factory outlet village hosts many of the top brand stores like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger. Nike, Hugo Boss, Karen Millen, Barbour to name but a few. All at much reduced prices. There are also restaurants and a multiplex cinema on site. Plenty of retail therapy available!
If you’re looking for a bargain or a gift this is well worth a visit. Also restaurants and a multi screen cinema
