Pass through Allerford on the way and maybe visit Exmoor Hawk and Owl Centre where you can get up close and personal. Horse riding also available.
Bossington itself is a picture book village with 2 tea rooms and at the end there is a National Trust car park. From here you can walk alongside a river to the shore or up the hill to a viewpoint or both! Fabulous.

Kind of the heart of Exmoor. Great drive here from us and Tarr Steps nearby is a must with an ancient clapper bridge across the river in a beautiful valley.

The jewel in the area for medieval history. National Trust castle with stunning views and grounds set next to the village which is completely unspoilt. Many a good cafe (The Chapel is our favourite), pub and restaurant.

Very picturesque tiny harbour with pub, cafe and gallery and also a renowned Thai that opens for lunch until late afternoon. Their other branch is in Porlock proper.

Wind your way up the hill through the old streets of Minehead and you gain access to a wild area. This road goes past a campsite to a dead end with car park and on the way you get amazing views and often Exmoor ponies. Super views across to Porlock Bay.
