Richmond has lots of historical sites around the marketplace and it is worth a visit to Richmond Castle. There are fantastic views out over the river and the Yorkshire Dales.

Along with Aysgarth Falls, a great spot to visit. There are walks close by, it's a beautiful sight, and which film lovers will recognise the scene from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. There are some fantastic local pubs too.
