By far the most popular BBQ joint in Austin with tourists and locals alike lining up for up to 4 hours (from 7:30am) EVERY MORNING for a piece of BBQ'd meat... But the lines not all bad, you can set up a camping chair and enjoy FREE beer whilst you wait! And the BBQ is well worth it!.. or so we're told. Full disclosure: We've never been! Rob & Sharna don't do lines! We are firm believers that there is NO bad BBQ in Austin so really, any BBQ establishment is gonna be damn good. But Franklins is the household name - Your call!

The Salt Lick in a 35 minute drive out of town but they are well worth the trip. Nothing beats wrapping your mouth around a beef rib the size of your face! It's also BYOB, so, pick up a 6 pack and head on out to Driftwood.

18300 Farm to Market Rd 1826The Salt Lick in a 35 minute drive out of town but they are well worth the trip. Nothing beats wrapping your mouth around a beef rib the size of your face! It's also BYOB, so, pick up a 6 pack and head on out to Driftwood.
WE. LOVE. BBQ... in case that wasn't clear 'til now. Our fav go-to spot downtown is Iron Works. It's walkable, cheap, delicious AND generally, no lines! The beef rib plate (3 ribs) is insane and the sides are all winners!

Pueblo Viejo is our favourite taco joint - their located inside the North Door, right on the edge of the I-35 before you hit “dirty” sixth. We won't judge you if you go here every day. Twice. They're that good!

Cool, dark dive bar with cheap drinks and good (enough) bar food. Pool tables (free on Tuesdays), often have a DJ and the patio is great for people watching!
