3 kms off the Princes Hwy the Stony Creek trestle bridge is located approx 20 kms north/east of Lakes Entrance and 4.5 kms from Nowa Nowa. Formerly part of the rail link from Bairnsdale to Orbost the bridge measues 276 metres in length and is the longest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

One day tours
Start at Bairnsdale and follow the great Alpine Road through Bruthen and Ensay. Stop for coffee and visit the Great Alpine Art Gallery at Swifts Creek. Continue on through to Omeo and then on to Dinner Plain. Take a detour through the Dinner Plains resort and then drive on to Mount Hotham. Enjoy a lunch at 'The General' store. Continue on over Mt. Hotham and take a left turn down the Dargo High Plains road. Stop off for refreshments at the Dargo Pub and then continue back towards Bairnsdale.
Take note of the expansive market gardens on the Mitchell River Flats at Lindenow and then return to Paynesville via Bairnsdale.
