Snowden Mountain railway is a great trip up Snowden, takes about 45 minutes and 28 miles from our apartment:

If you fancy a trip up and down Snowden, reaching the summit for massive views of Snowden and Wales you will need to book online for a timed slot.
It’s a good way to get up Snowden if you have limited walking ability or you are a wheelchair user.
The train takes an hour to get up Snowden and the views are fabulous, you get to stop, check out the summit, there is a restaurant to have a drink and eat before catching the train back down.

Such a nice place for a coastal walk, as you walk you might see the grey seals on the rocks or in the sea.
It’s a good place to take a picnic and enjoy.
The website Porthor is very informative and I particularly like the map of the walk, which you can print out and take with you.

I love visiting this medieval house, it’s so interesting just to see how the people would of lived in this fascinating house.
It doesn’t take long to get there from Pwllheli, only 10-15 minutes, it’s on the way to Porthmadog so it’s a nice call for a half hour stop.
It’s FREE entrance.
The road to the house is quite narrow so you have to be very aware of upcoming vehicles, so slowly it goes.
Penarth Fawr
I love visiting this medieval house, it’s so interesting just to see how the people would of lived in this fascinating house.
It doesn’t take long to get there from Pwllheli, only 10-15 minutes, it’s on the way to Porthmadog so it’s a nice call for a half hour stop.
