Don't plan on driving while you're here!
We're an old town not built for cars, so plan on using our rental bikes, walking, cabbing it, or using the local Duval Loop, a bus that travels only in Old Town and stops a half block away from us!

Some things book up in advance!
Some of the hot restaurants and attractions book up well in advance. "Lattitudes" restaurant and "Santiago's Bodega" are popular restaurants and well worth booking in advance.
A trip to the Dry Tortugas-Fort Jefferson National Park is one of the most memorable excursions you can reserve, but only one ferry and the seaplane travel there, so they can book up weeks, even months in advance.

Many guests don't realize how intense the sun is in the Southernmost City, so be sure you are protected before you go out to explore. Comfortable shoes for walking are a must and rubber diving shoes come in handy at our more rocky beaches.
