This path runs from Martha's hill to Shoreham by Sea and it is great. We walk different sections most weekends when we can, I believe it is the best footpath in Sussex.

For a breath of sea air, stroll along the bustling Brighton beach promenade and soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere at one of the many cafes and bars. If a spot of retail therapy is needed Brighton has a whole host of quirky and individual shops, as well as all the best High Street names.

Neighbourhoods
The Parish of Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex extends from the South Downs to the Weald. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, it is situated just off the A23 London to Brighton Road, the Parish contains the large village of Hurstpierpoint itself and also the smaller settlements of Sayers Common and Goddards Green.
The name comes from ‘Hurst’, the Saxon name for a wood, and ‘Pierpoint’ after the de Pierpoint family who arrived with William the Conqueror in 1066. Many of the houses in the village date from 18th century or earlier, and their variety and character are so attractive that the centre of the village and surrounding area is designated as a Conservation Area.
My family have called the village home for over 150 years.
