Caribou is a former silver-mining town located near Nederland. You can drive directly to the site. One collapsed wooden cabin and two stone ruins remain of Caribou. Great for hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. Take County Road 128 west out of Nederland. Follow for 4.7 miles until you reach town-site. GPS – 39°58′50″N 105°34′40″W
