This is a small quiet park that has picnic tables and a long covered dock that can be used for relaxing, fishing etc. It is about a 5 minute walk to the north alongside US1

This little park is located about 5 min drive from our property. If the waves in the ocean are too rough you can hang out at this river side park. It also has a sandy beach!

This park has a tidal pool that is safe for everyone. https://visitindianrivercounty.com/listing/sebastian-inlet-tidal-pool/ It is a forty minute drive away from the property, but the drive is scenic and the pool is worth it.
Airboat tours and fun. This is the place to go if you want to see some wild gators on the St Johns river.

Every summer, hundreds of turtles come to the beaches of Brevard County to lay their eggs. If you are here from June through August at night, you may get a chance to see them! The Sea Turtle Preservation Society hosts turtle walks where you can learn all about the turtles and get a few glimpses of them. If you are especially lucky, you might see some sea turtles hatch! I have seen this and it is an awesome sight. You will need to make reseveration long in advance as the tours fill up quickly

Running is another sport that is pretty popular around here. There are weekly running clubs almost every day of the week! Currently you can do to Oars and Paddles Sunday mornings, Long Doggers Indialantic on Monday nights, Hell ‘n Blazes on Tuesday nights, Intracoastal Brewing on Wednesday nights, Beachfly Brewing on Thursday nights and Downtown Melbourne on Friday nights. Check out Space Coast runners for more info on these group runs. They are always a great way to run with a group and often get a beer after! If you like races, we have plenty of those too. The Running Zone has a fun series of 5ks, including the Ghostly Gecko and the Run for the Gecko. Other races I don’t miss include the Turtle Krawl 5K and the Eye of the Dragon 10k. Here’s a list of upcoming events so you can start training for one!

Manatees are one of the most unique and iconic species of animals native to Florida. They’re chubby and slow-moving marine mammals that grow to massive proportions and are often referred to as sea cows. Located on Merritt Island, Manatee Cove Park is comprised of nearly 30 acres of prime manatee habitat that’s perfect for viewing these lovable animals. In addition to a variety of viewing areas, the park includes trails leading around the lagoon, a playground, and several picnic tables and built-in barbecue grills as well. Admission to the park is inexpensive, and most of the money collected goes directly to programs aimed at preserving the manatee’s habit.

This is truely a one of a kind car museum. Unfortunately it is a private museum and the owner will only open for select groups to view on special occasions and charitable events. If you know anyone that is a member of one of the local car clubs, they may be able to get you passes. That was how i was able to get a look inside!
