Access this quiet and scenic mountain trail system on foot from the house. Walk up the driveway, hang a left on 6th street, take the first fork on the right, walk uphill past a pile of boulders and keep going until you see the trail head on your right. Follow the trail up to Nederland Elementary, then follow the signs for Mud lake after walking across the parking lot.
