Located adjacent to the property and signposted as a picnic spot. Climb through the Atlantic Oakwoods past an archaeological site to reach the hilltop of Dunan - locally known as the Camel's hump - great views over Dunoon, the clyde and the Holy loch. (can be very muddy in wet weather though!)

A beautiful walk through a glorious gully......some moderate ascents on path. Fantastic magical atmosphere.

Beautiful gardens and stunning trees. Fern house is definately worth the climb upto it. Dog friendly ( although dog bins only at entrance area, not within park)

Kilmun is also home to an extensive arboretum managed by the Forestry Commission. Established in the 1930s to monitor the success of a variety of exotic tree species in the humid west coast environment, it includes specimens of Sequoia, Japanese Larch, Araucaria araucana (monkey puzzle) and Japanese Chestnut amongst many others from around the world. A series of woodland walks have been established of varying gradients and degrees of difficulty, which link by a forestry track to Benmore wood at the top of Puck's Glen
