They have great play areas - one area just for under 5s and a large play area for older children. A brilliant day out!!

This beautiful park just 20 minute drive away is well worth a visit. It has a gorgeous botanical garden, duck pond, enormous playground and a fabulous park for picnics and bbqs. In the summer early morning and late afternoon, hot air balloons sometimes take off from here!

This is a short walk to visit some of the animals in the village. With my two young children it takes about half an hour (mostly standing around looking at the animals).
Head out of the cottage and turn left. Take your first left down Sheepfair Lane. Walk down the hill, on your right you’ll see some small pigs in the garden. Continue along and the same garden has a pair of wallabies and some ducks. Continue along the road and you’ll see sheep in the field to your left. (Sometimes they come to the gate to say hello.) At the end of Sheep Fair Lane, go left and then immediately left again along Gypsy Lane. As you walk along you’ll see the sheep again on your left.
You’ll then need to continue along Gypsy Lane until the road goes right, take the gate to your left at the corner. Walk along the path and you’ll find a pair of large pigs at the top of the hill.
Go through the gate near pigs and you’re on Weir Lane. Turn right and the road will lead you back to the high street. Turn left and you’ll find the cottage a few houses along (after sweet apples tea shop).

I’d highly recommend the Bath Skyline walk. It is a 6 mile circular walk which goes through meadows, woodlands and valleys as well as getting spectacular views of the city. (It’s part of national trust but there’s no cost like other national trust venues).
