The museum is full of history about the train station and how it came to be in the Omaha area. There’s even a passenger train in the basement that you can walk in to see how passengers used to (and still do) travel. So much fun.

Getting Around
Quickest way to get around is the highway and interstate systems. Of course there are ways to avoid those if you so chose to take the scenic route.

Zoo Advice
Wear shoes that you’ll be comfortable in all day. There’s a lot of walking. Pack a lunch and water bottles to help save some money and time waiting in line. There is plenty of picnic spots to eat at. Also, wagons or strollers will be your best friend but also your enemy. :p on a busy day it can sometimes be difficult to get around in some of the buildings due to the amount of people there. Plan for extra time to maneuver around. There is also a splash pad in the zoo that is free of charge. Pack a suit or run in your clothes on a hot day. And lastly, don’t forget the sun screen.!!
