YUM !!!

This is our favorite place hands down. Dermot is the owner, Kalli tends the Bar. The food, while it is mostly Bar food, is really the best in the area. The place looks authentically like an Irish Pub, in Irelan, there is a mis-mash of locals, seasonal visitors and vacationers and everyone is friendly. We consider it our home only second to where we sleep at night.

If you like beer a stop at the Dam Brewhouse is a must. Their beer is so good they ran our of space and had to open up part of their own house to seat people. They would tell you they aim to be the "Public House" where people would gather - for the residence of Campton. Sharon and I have met the owners Sarah and John many times. They typically have about 8 of their beers rotating through their taps. Most of which are gluten reduced, all of which are extremely drinkable. There is a small tasting room and beer garden. Beware of the Party Animal, it's a great tasting beer and my favorite - it's over 10% ABV and it has taken me out more than once.

So you need a romantic place with good food, this is the place we typically go. It's cute, has a nice little bar upstairs, the food is great and it's only about 15 minute from the house. While Sharon and I still usually go to JL Sullivan's every once in a while we need someplace for a romantic date night... This is the place.

Look Mom !!! - Sightseeing / Recreation

The Welch-Dickey trail is extremely popular due to it's relatively easy access to fine views. The trail varies through shady hardwood forests to open expansive views. I the summer, wild bluberries can be picked as you approach the summit. There is some rock scrambling required along this trail, so come prepared with appropriate footwear. Trail is marked by yellow markers. There are many scenic areas along the ledgy 4.4 mile loop.

If you like Skiing Waterville Valley is a great place to go. We have been going there for years and spend most of our winter there. It is very family friendly ski area and the birthplace of Freestyle Skiing. https://www.waterville.com

As a townhouse in the Waterville Estates we have 4 guest passes for the nearby Community Center. The Community Center has 2 Indoor Heated Pools, 2 Outdoor Pools (Heated), 2 Outdoor Spas, and Locker Rooms with Saunas. It also has places for Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball, Tanning. There is a Pond with Sandy Beach which is an Ice Skating Pond in the winter and a Floating Dock and Paddle Boats and fishing is permitted. OK, so if you want to go back in time or if you like Candy and want your kids happy - this is the place. It's a vintage Arcade with maybe a dozen games ( think Donkey King, QBert, Ms Pac Man etc.) a few pin ball machines, a pool table, ski-ball. Everything we had in the 80s. Its in an old mill building and it has what would have been a penny candy isle when I grew up ... while the candy is more than a penny now - the look brings me back 40 years, and probably brings others back further.
