A lovely deli and general store 10 min by car. And open till 9pm at night. Also sells emergency items, light bulbs, wood etc. No alcohol is sold in Camps Bay.

Well worth day trip to this beautiful town surrounded by some of the best wine lands in South Africa about a 2 hour drive from Camps Bay. Suggest you take an Uber and when there do the tram that takes you from farm to farm. Be sure to stop off for a lovely meal and beer tasting at TUK TUK.

Getting around

Uber - safe and reliable and readily available. My city bus and the Red hop on and hop off bus is within close walking proximity from 11 The Retreat. But if you want to do sightseeing, hiring a car is the most economical.

What to pack

It is always advisable to pack a mix of beach, hiking and going out clothes. And always have something warmer at hand too. Winter (July - Aug) is the rainy season.
