Elk River Falls is a classic for hiking in a beautiful scenic area. The hike is approximately 1 mile long and moderate in skill. The town of elk River is a fun place to visit afterwards and enjoy a huckleberry ice cream cone or shake at the huckleberry Haven store.

Saturday morning must see. Opens at 7:00 AM closes at 1:00 PM. Vendors from all around the country offering arts and crafts, fruit, vegetables, plants, jewelry, woodcarvings, wood turning and more. Artists working, and showing off their crafts. Food vendors galore, offering specialty foods including Mexican foods, Greek foods, Asian foods and others. Great place to just walk and mingle and meet people. Totally recommend.

Moscow is a beautiful area on the Palouse. Idaho and Washington are connecting neighbors. Pullman and Washington State University are 7 miles from Moscow on a four-lane highway. In the summer there are various activities going on: The Moscow Renaissance Fair is a two-day celebration of spring with live entertainment, food,and crafts for kids and adults of all ages. It is always held the weekend of the first Sunday in May. Rendezvous in the Park is in mid-July at East City Park. It opens at 11 and music begins in the evening. Special artist play music into the night.

With two universities within 7 miles of each other football season is a favorite! The University of Idaho Vandals play in the Kibble Dome. So no matter the weather you sit in comfort to watch the Vandals play. Washington State University Cougars have a large outdoor stadium to accommodate 50,000 people. It’s quite an event for the small town and area of the Palouse. Lots of activities going on before and after the games. Nightlife is abundant. Come and join us.
