A real FOOD COURT! Just a few minutes walk from the aparment. In the former tram depot, an official monument built between 1902 and 1928, you now find "de Hallen". Next to the really nice food (all sorts of kitchens and flavours are represented, and nice bars for cocktails, wine and so on) you will find a centre for media, culture, fashion, food and crafts. You can also go to the movies (we show them in their original language).

Very close to the apartment, you will find a nice market with fresh food. It is open from mon-sat. I especially recommand 'De Gouden Tent' for the best Humus EVER (Mango / Chilly flavor).

If you want to meet me during your stay in the weekends, you will probably find me at Caffee Oslo sat/sun morning having breakfast. Nice friendly service. Lovely place to wake up!

For fine dining, haute cuisine and nice service in a relaxed atmosphere. The view from the stylishly decorated building is really spectaculair - the scenery will change all the time because of the boats on the 'IJ' passing by. This is absolutely my favourite restaurant in Amsterdam! Please make a reservation to make sure you have a table.

Biggest and most popular park in Amsterdam, within walking distance of the apartment.
The Westergasfabriek is a treat for all the senses. You can hear water flowing through the marsh ponds and watch as trains disappear behind the embankment. Many areas are paved, but there are gently swaying wildflower meadows too. Feel the breeze out on the big green field or picnic on one of the many sheltered waterside decks around the Gasometer ponds. The park abounds with colours and fragrances, with different plants and shrubs blooming each season. The park offers wide open space as well as intimacy. Although it can sometimes get very busy, peace and quiet is only a few steps away. This park is packed with surprises.
