Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm, this open air market will satisfy everybody with its large offer from designer clothing, souvenirs, textiles, jewellery, food to photography. On Friday, we can visit Friday's Foodies Market where you can buy fruits, bread, baguettes or chocolates. Close to Sydney Harbour Bridge, we can eventually take a walk around the harbour. You can also just sit down at a cafe or a bar and relax.

This market has been opened every Saturday since 1973 and supports local businesses, designers and artists that provides good quality and sustainable products. When you buy a product, we are also contributing to providing a warm meal as well as support for Sydney's homeless and disadvantaged.

Taxis are in abundance and can be hailed from the street, or called in advance. All taxis are metered, with surcharges applicable if you travel on a toll road. Sydney is considered to be one of the most expensive places to park in the world: there are no free car parks in the CBD. The City operates 2 car parks – Goulburn Street Car Park (near Central Station) and Kings Cross Car Park. Daytime fares range from $5 a half hour to $59 for four hours or more. We can find many more private ones around town. They are however more expensive as fares can go up to $90 to park more than three hours. A fine in Sydney costs around $86. Uber is less expensive than taxis and offers an easy, safe and convenient mode of car transport. Download the Uber app to book. Note that Uber drivers won’t have car seats available for small children, and are consequently not suitable for transporting children aged under 7 years.

Public transport is readily available in Sydney. Catch a ferry, train or bus easily to get around. There is even a hop on hop off bus to get you to any major attractions. Opal is the only ticket you need to get around on all public transport including trains, ferries and buses. This can be purchased from more than 2,100 retailers across the Opal network. Once you have bought it, you simply need to load value onto your Opal Card online, in person or set up an automatic top-up.

Sydney's bus network covers much of the greater Sydney region, and is a convenient way to get around Sydney. There are hundreds of local bus routes that operate in the city, suburbs and beyond. Buses on major routes operate 24 hours a day. Major bus thoroughfares in the city centre are located on York Street, Pitt Street, Castlereagh Street and Elizabeth Street, and around Circular Quay and Sydney Central Station.

The city is currently extending the light rail network from Circular Quay to Moore Park and to Kensington and Kingsford. The Sydney light rail is convenient, efficient and it will move you safely and economically between the hub of Central Station with Sydney's inner western suburbs, via Pyrmont, Glebe, Leichhardt, and right through to Dulwich Hill.

Sydney Ferries and private ferry services from Circular Quay transport commuters and visitors across the beautiful blue waterways that form the very heart of Sydney. Boarding a ferry is a fantastic way to explore and travel around one of the world's most beautiful harbour cities. Last ferries from Circular Quay leave at various times between 6.45 pm and 12.20 am.

Sydney's train network covers suburban Sydney and extends to the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, and South Coast regions. The main city station is Central Station, which connects all of Sydney and most of NSW, including the suburban lines, the airport line and intercity lines. Ticket prices are usually based on the distance travelled.

From sunrise locals flock to the beaches to get their dose of exercise as well as vitamin d in. Challenge yourself with soft sand running (no equipment needed!) or why not join in with one of the many groups that meet each morning for an ocean swim. If surfing on a world famous beach is on your bucket list make sure to book in for a lesson or if you are already a pro grab a board from one of the many surf shops in Bondi or Manly.

Chose from easy breezy coastal walks to half-day bush hikes. Don’t forget to bring a picnic or find the perfect lunch destination to keep you motivated. The famous coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee never disappoints and is a must!
