Spirit Mountain, located in Duluth, Minnesota, is tucked in between Lake Superior and a towering forested ridgeline, creating long, legendary winters. One of the greatest "surburban" ski areas in the Midwest, Spirit offers a big 700-foot vertical drop, eight lifts including a high-speed quad, 22 runs and two terrain parks spread out over close to 200 acres. Spirit's assests include a sea of some of the finest "blue cruisers" around the Great Lakes and its great views of the city and harbor, as well as the largest terrain park in the midwest. The sprawl of twinkling city lights at night is one of the greatest night skiing views anywhere. Spirit Mountain is home to the region's only Alpine Coaster, a Zip Ride, Scenic Chairlift, Jumping Pillow, Putt-putt Golf, some of the midwest's best gravity mountain biking trails, a Superior Hiking Trail trailhead and loop, spectacular weddings, enjoying nature, and of course, views that will make you say wow!

Sightseeing
Amnicon Falls State Park features a series of delightful waterfalls and rapids along the Amnicon River. You can view them from a covered foot bridge or 2 miles of trails along the river. The park is a place to picnic, camp, walk in the woods and learn about the Douglas Fault, the geological formation that created the falls.

Millenium Trail is a 2.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Superior, Wisconsin that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until December.

The Osaugie Trail leads users past various landmarks along Superior’s waterfront, including the S.S. Meteor Whaleback Ship Museum, Barker's Island, and the Burlington Ore Dock, where the Edmund Fitzgerald set out on its last ill-fated voyage in 1975.
Located at the trail’s western end, the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center features several exhibits about the flying ace, as well as a real Lockheed P-38 Lightning aircraft. From the opposite end of the trail, cyclists and pedestrians can travel on-road to reach scenic Wisconsin Point. The natural peninsula features miles of beautiful beaches, a working lighthouse and stunning vistas of nearby Duluth, Minnesota.
The rail-trail continues eastward from Superior to Ashland—a distance of over 60 miles—as the unpaved Tri-County Corridor Trail.
