Quaint place for the perfect eggs. The Pfannekuechen takes 20 minutes, but it's worth the wait. Make a reservation to avoid a wait that can be upwards of 2 hours. This place is great and very popular. It's tricky to find, but locals can guide you.

The bar area fills by 5:05 for happy hour, so get there before 5 pm for a seat. If you miss happy hour, a full restaurant is attached. If the mussels ever were taken off the menu, that would be a story in the Vail Daily. Order mussels if you like them. Salads are always fresh, fries are hot with a hint of truffle...it's a great place in walking distance of the condo.

Excellent sushi walking distance from the condo. Hibachi is also fun. Reservations recommended. I was dubious about sushi in the mountains, but they do a good job. Service is great.

The food is great, but do yourself a favor and order it way ahead of time and take it to go. They are very nice, but I've gone there many times and they have the slowest service of any restaurant I've been to. (See my other recommendation for pho if you want to dine in the restaurant.)

I've never been to Agave, but I know that people go there for happy hour and they sometimes have live music.

An amazing library is kiddie-corner across the street from our condo. The basement has big chairs for reading in case you've had too much "togetherness" at the condo. The large kids section should have any kid just begging to get off their screens.
