Get a table facing the Carmine church and enjoy an aperitivo. I don't recommend it for Lunch as it can get quite busy and slow in serving food, however, for an aperitivo / light dinner it's perfect. They bring you lots of things to nibble on and if you are still hungry you can get something to eat after that.

Great ramen spot very close to the apartment. The vegetable gyoza and the chicken noodle soup were lovely. Fairly priced and interior is modern, just make sure to book in advance especially during the weekend.

Very much enjoyed the pizza, it's not the traditional style but it's what makes is special. I recommend this place if you want to grab a pizza to take outside. The seating inside is really nothing special, but works fine for a quick lunch.

Lovely food, staff is friendly and the ambient is cozy and retro. There is a good wine selection to pair perfectly with the dishes.

Visite turistiche

Admiring the architecture of the castle from the outside is already a worthy visit. There are many entrances open during the day and many benches to sit to admire the scenery. I recommend visiting the museum if you are in Milan for more than a couple of days, especially if you enjoy ancient art, tapestry, armour etc. As of April 2022 the entrance in all the parts of the museum is 5€ so definitely very worth the money. There is a locker room where you have to leave your backpack, it's free you just need to book 1 euro. The museum is divided in 4 sections 2nd floor: Decorative arts 1st floor: 
 - Furniture & wooden sculture
- Art gallery - Musical instruments - Decorative arts, trivulzio tepestry, ceramics Ground floor - Ancient art - Armoury - Michelangelo’s Rondanini Pietà Lower ground floor : Archaeological museum - prehistory & protohistory

Do you want to go for a walk in the modern Milan, piazza Gae Aulenti especially beautiful at night. You can grab an ice cream at Grom and stroll around the large pedestrian area.

There is something really magical with the Colonne di San Lorenzo, especially at night when it's quiet. There are many restaurants and bars around the area, when it's warm you can grab a drink and sit in front of the colonne with the rest of the Milanese community.

Choose a sunny and clear day to go on the top of the Duomo, there are both the lift and the stairs. If you are lucky you will even see the Alps which are much closer than you would think. The inside of the cathedral is certainly impressive, however, in my opinion the beauty is the external architecture so if you are tight on time and the weather is nice prioritise going to the top of the cathedral rather than inside. If you have the time there is lots to see in the cathedral and crypts underneath.

You should walk in the Gallerie during the day when you are going to visit the duomo. I also recommend giving them a visit at night as they are much more quiet and you really can appreciate the architecture and it's beauty. At night the place lights up, there are bars on each side of the canals and people from the area come together to meet up. FYI - The 4th Sunday of every month there is an Antique Market where you can find furniture, clothing, art and much more.

My only advice is to wear mosquito repellent in the hotter months as there unfortunately are many mosquitoes.

There are workout stations scattered around the park, a library, a basketball court, coffee bars, a playground for children which is conveniently next to the closest entrance. My only advice is to wear mosquito repellent in the hotter months as there unfortunately are many mosquitoes.
