Things to do
Only 12 minutes away from the cabin, Snow Summit is the best mountain for skiers. We're big fans of their Adventure School for children.

The Boulder Bay Park in Big Bear Lake is a newer park which opened in 2010 and about a 20 minute drive from the cabin. It's a great park with lots of attractions and facilities including a large bandstand, restrooms, huge dock for fishing or gazing and the view is spectacular. There is parking, but it's hard to grab a spot due to it's popularity.
You can also rent Kayaks. Equipment is on wheels. You roll them yourself 100 yards into the park and onto the shoreline.

It's a great park with lots of attractions and facilities including a large bandstand, restrooms, huge dock for fishing or gazing and the view is spectacular. There is parking, but it's hard to grab a spot due to it's popularity.
You can also rent Kayaks. Equipment is on wheels. You roll them yourself 100 yards into the park and onto the shoreline.
Paddles and Pedals offers bikes, kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards for rent. Conveniently located on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, they provide very easy access to the lake, the pedal path or the mountain bike trails. It’s an easy drive from the cabin and on the less crowded side of the lake.
