Sightseeing
Castle Combe is a beautiful village. The village has wonderful buildings and scenic walks. You can have lunch in the Castle Inn they have a sweet garden in the summer. The food has always been very good. For a big treat have afternoon tea in The Manor House they have beautiful gardens to appreciate.
Castle Combe was used to film the original Dr Doolittle and recently War Horse. The parking is at the top of the village with quite a steep hill that you walk down into the village.

It is truly wonderful it has a calm energy about the place. I would highly recommend the tours or the headphone tours. These headphones can be hired and will give you a spoken tour in many languages.

Lacock is a beautiful National Trust village it is 10-15 minutes walk from the Lacock shepherds hut. You will find a beautiful Abbey, photography museum, pubs restaurants tea shops. There are some lovely independent shop selling gifts. A very special chocolate shop their ice cream is so delicious. Next to the chocolate shop there is a super children’s craft and toy shop well worth a visit. The local shop sell great homemade salads pastries and very good coffee all to take away

Lacock

Golf course
Bowood Gold Course is a beautifully laid out course. It’s only 15 minutes drive from Lacock Shepherds Hut. I would suggest pre-booking.
