Pearl's is our favorite restaurant in Elk Rapids. The food and service are consistently wonderful and interesting. The crawfish cakes, oysters Rockefeller, and brisket of beef are addictive.
Pearl's offers brunch on Sundays only -- get the Florentine omelette!

Harbor Cafe is a solid choice for a delicious family breakfast. The menu is varied enough to appeal to everyone in the family, from the cinnamon swirl pancakes to the granola/fruit bowl. Harbor Cafe never disappoints.

Town Club is a bar with some of the best, reasonably-priced food in town. The service is good, and some of the dishes there are surprisingly great. Try the Greek salad with gyro meat, or the gyro sandwiches. My son swears by their grilled cheese sandwiches.

This locally-made ice cream is our family's favorite. They often add new an unusual flavors, so check back often. Daily, maybe. The owners are wonderful people, too!

The cinema is a historic gem that has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored. The entire ceiling is a mural that has been restored to its former glory. Most importantly, they pop the popcorn fresh and put REAL butter on it. REAL butter, people! This is the stuff of my best childhood memories.

Essentials
The Village Market is the only choice in town for groceries, so I'm glad that it's a decent one. They often have some delicious prepared salads in their (tiny) deli section, just behind the check-out counters.
