Marshview Dog Park is walking distance from the townhouse. The park is located at the end of Indian Ave. Follow the path through the woods to reach the dog park. There are 4 penned in areas for dogs to play. Anyone can bring there dogs here. You do not need to register.

Dogs are welcome inside this brewery. It is a very short walk from the townhouse. They do not serve food here but you can order from Gringos Taqueria which is in the same building. They will deliver it to you at the brewery if you ask.

“The Narrows” has a wonderful shallow inlet beach located within First Landing State Park. There is also a boat ramp located here and soon there will be kayak rentals on site. You will access the park by turning left onto 64th Street. You will run right into the park at the end of 64th. There is a guard shack where you will have to pay an entrance fee. At this time it is $7. Drive into the park and follow the winding road to the parking area. There is a public bathroom here as well. The beach is lined by shady trees, perfect for keeping your dog cool on a hot day. Unlike the boardwalk, there are no rules against bringing dogs. There are many fun paths through the park to explore. Be on the lookout for all kinds of wildlife! I have seen herons, bard owls, crabs, turtles, lizards, etc.

The Bay Area is easily reached by taking Pacific Ave north. There is not a designated parking lot to speak of with the exception of the parking lot at the bayside entrance to First Landing State Park. If you choose to access the bay at this location, there is a park entrance fee, currently $7. The park offers a bath house and small convenience store which is nice. Besides the park, you can access the bay from the neighborhoods all along the bay side of Shore Drive. I usually turn right after the McDonalds onto West Great Neck Road and look for street parking. There are multiple public beach access paths along the road. The bay is so beautiful at sunset! It’s a very calm vibe compared to the boardwalk/oceanfront. If you go in the evening, you will see people fishing and crabbing. As it gets dark, you will see ghost crabs scurrying about in the sand. Bring a flashlight for the kids to get a good look at them. The old Lynnhaven Fishing Pier is no longer operational but the pier makes a great photo spot.

This is a fun brewery to visit. They have really nice outdoor area that is dog friendly. Look them up before going to see if there is an event going on. They often have music there.
