Could not recommend this place more. The pizza is fantastic. Also, the sit-down restaurants in town can have long waits during the summer tourist season so this is a great option for takeout or eating outside at their picnic tables on a nice day.

This is one of our favorite places to hang out in town. They have pretty limited hours so check those to make sure you don't miss a chance to go here. They have just reopened their taproom to indoor seating. The owner is usually tending bar with a couple other old fellas. It's a really comfortable place to relax and chat with locals and other visitors. They also have a lovely garden area to sip a beer in on a nice day.

Finding our place!
GPS doesn't usually like our address so below is some extra guidance once you're in town
Main St. forks with Washington St. Stay to the right to take Washington St. The grocery store will be on your right.
At the intersection before the bridge to Canada, GPS often says to go left. Don't! Instead, go RIGHT on Pleasant St. The address is Lower Water but the driveway is on Pleasant. Just before you get to the next intersection with Dewey-Mowry St. you will see a long driveway on your left. That's us! "19 L. Water" is on the garbage bin by the road. Message us if you have any trouble.

Things close early!
The grocery store and most businesses in town are closed by 7pm. The Dollar General is open until 10pm. Just something to keep in mind especially if you need to buy any food or supplies for your first evening there. If we are arriving later than 7pm we often stop at the Hannaford in Machias on the way.
