If you continue up the mountain about 10 minutes more from the Apple Barn, you'll land in the village of Cloudcroft. This mountain village sits "9000' Feet above stress level" and is much cooler than the Alamogordo area on average. It is a great place to hike and sight-see during the summer and ski or inner tube during the winter! Locals love the cute shops there are to walk, local food, hiking, offroading, and more!

On the other side of town you'll find a great museum full of fun and interesting exhibitions. There is plenty of space memorabilia including a 3.7 billion year old moon rock, a space chimp suit, and more!
