Food Scene

Pizza!!! I grew up with pizza from this place it was just a few blocks away from my grandmother's house. I have fond memories of eating pizza at grandma's house. Whereas, as an adult, I'm thinking it isn't the most tasty pizza and has rather bland sauces (the toppings make their pizza), it is still a great place to go to for a quick pizza if you don't mind sacrificing a little quality.

The bar is a throwback to the original Monsch Hotel lobby bar, our lower level Lantern Room features a New York style speakeasy and the outdoor courtyard contains the buildings original three story brick walls and exposed fire escape, reminiscent of a setting right out of Brooklyn.

A great place for a drink and a bite to eat! Great outdoors area with garage doors which close on a cold day and open when it is nice!!!

Very good Mediterranean cuisine located at the end of Bank Street on the Ohio River. Nice atmosphere and outdoor seating in the small shopping area called Underground Station which contains 11 businesses.

Great vibe hear with a view overlooking Louisville, nice decorations, and live music. Beer is awesome and decorating is fantastic with old-school stereo systems on the wall. Also has a food truck on their lot. Very cool! I highly recommend!!!

A friend of mine owns this place and he is probably one of the best brewers in town. It has an industrial feel to it and is located in NuLu in Downtown Louisville, but the beer is top-class!!! Bring your pup (but not your children) indoors for a delicious brew.
If you know anything about the brewing scene in Louisville, KY, you know that Falls City is a historical brewery. Reinvented in the last decade, it has a really great brewer in Brewmaster Dylan and the beers may be nothing like they are before (which is a good thing), but very drinkable! I once had one of my beers brewed on their system and served commercially which was a huge honor. :) They have food too in the 502 Winery section of the tasting pub.

Reinvented in the last decade, it has a really great brewer in Brewmaster Dylan and the beers may be nothing like they are before (which is a good thing), but very drinkable! I once had one of my beers brewed on their system and served commercially which was a huge honor. :) They have food too in the 502 Winery section of the tasting pub.
This is a combination of a winery, 502 Winery, and a brewery, Falls City, with food, as well. I have found the food to be overpriced with small portions, but tasty. I like the wine there and Falls City beer is top-notch!!!

This isn't exactly close to the New Albany house, but it does offer lots of entertainment, so listing it in case you are wanting to do a tour of the breweries around the area.

Not sure how to classify this, but it is a brandy distillery. I haven't been there yet, but it is on my to-go-to list as I hear it is an awesome place!

Want to see a bat getting made or see the largest baseball bat in the world? Worth a visit! You really can't miss the tallest bat in the World located leaning against the building of the Louisville Slugger Museum. Tours during the week showcase the bat factory where workers are doing their jobs. Weekends are open too, you just don't see the workers in action.

I went for a visit here and the first thing that always comes to mind aside from Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves was the three story elevator that almost gave me the fear of heights feeling! It is a well-designed museum; if the history of boxing and civil rights is your thing, you should go there.

I went for a visit here and the first thing that always comes to mind aside from Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves was the three story elevator that almost gave me the fear of heights feeling! It is a well-designed museum; if the history of boxing and civil rights is your thing, you should go there.
