Also, the College of the Desert market is worth a visit if you've never been, but a bit busier for parking.

The Living Desert
The Living Desert is a wonderful place to visit for any age! You can see most of it in 3 hours. I recommend getting there as early as possible to see the animals out and about, and to beat the mid-day heat.
